What is a Card ID Number?

The Card ID Number is a 3 or 4 digit number that appears on your credit card. This number is only available by looking at your physical credit card and is never printed on a receipt or stored in a database during an online transaction. Trading Places Maui requests that you provide the Card ID Number to ensure that someone is not using your credit card information fraudulently.

Note: The Credit Card ID Number is printed on your card; it is not raised from the surface of your card like your credit card's account number.
Why is this required?

We require the Credit Card ID Number for American Express, Visa, and MasterCard transactions. The Card ID appears only on your physical credit card.
